Downers Grove: Episodes 1-5 Now Streaming On TheWB.com

In April of 2008 my best friends and I (also known as Sorry, Dad Productions) wrote, produced, and acted in a 9 episode web series for Warner Brothers and it’s finally online. Episodes 1-5 are up now, and 6-9 will be up in a week. If you could, please spread this around to everyone. I’ve been waiting almost 2 years to share this show with everyone, and I’d like as many people to watch it as possible. The show follows 4 friends who never left their hometown after graduating from high school. They hate each other, they love each other, they’re stuck with each other. so this is a web show created in part by one-half of the “dealbreaker” tumblr creators, but i suppose i should be more concerned about the fact that it’s also created in part (and stars as well) by a guy who i sit next to literally every work day. he didn’t tell me to post this, he doesn’t know i’m posting this, he doesn’t know i’ve watched it, i’m not even positive he knows my name (he probably does, most people are friendlier than me). it’s actually a little creepy that i’m posting this right now without turning to my left and saying, “hey, watched your web show, neat!” [i wouldn’t add ‘i’m posting it on my blog’, because that sounds douchey, as it includes the word ‘blog.’]

we probably have a lot in common, to be honest with you. he has a WB webseries, i have a movie that was mentioned on Larry King, and here we are, image selecting and writing tv show descriptions for $9/hr. SHOWBIZ IS GLAMOROUS. 

part of the point of me posting this is because i watched the first episode and it seems pretty good, plus it takes place in a suburb i’m all too familiar with. but another point is how socially weird i am.
